Delivery Information | Shipping and handling and returns
All bears are shipped either Priority Mail or Express Mail in order to provide your bear with reliable tracking. You have the option to choose one of the two options at checkout for bears staying in the US. The option to arrange a pickup in Fort Myers, Florida is an option if you are local to TG Bears. If you choose this option, I will contact you to arrange for pickup once the bear is completed. For international shipments, you also have the option to choose Direct Link as the carrier. This is a division of the Swedish Nordpost. This option is a lot more cost effective, but the bear will travel slower than with International Priority Mail.
Note that on international shipments, TG Bears Inc is not responsible for any taxes/duties that your country may impose on the bear by your local customs department. All bears are marked as merchandise and not as gifts. The value of Charity Bears will be declared as the value less the donation.
NOTE: TG Bears Inc does offer a fundraising program for the postage for international customers on the Charity Bears. An online fundraiser would be set up for the cost of the postage once the bear has been purchased at the regular listed price. The help of friends and family can then be enlisted to cover the shipping cost in smaller increments per person. When the goal has been met, the bear will be made and shipped. If you are interested in making use of this program, please contact me for more information. This applies only to Charity Bears being shipped outside of the US.
Once a package tracking number is marked "Delivered" by the shipping company, TG Bears Inc is no longer responsible for the package.
All the bears at TG Bears Inc. are handmade. The bears that can be ordered through the website are still made to order. Please allow 3 - 4 weeks for the creation of your special bear. You will be notified by email when your bear is on his/her way to you. Custom orders are discussed and timeframes will depend on what is required on the bear.
Returns are accepted for defective workmanship only. Return shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. TG Bears Inc. will evaluate the returned bear and should it be determined that the workmanship was indeed defective, the purchaser may choose a refund or a replacement. In the event of a refund, the original cost of the bear and shipping will be refunded. The return shipping remains the responsibility of the purchaser.
Should TG Bears Inc. have shipped you the incorrect bear, please contact me within one business day of receipt of the same. Arrangements will then be made to send you the correct bear at no additional cost if the claim is legitimate*. Notification of an incorrect delivery later than one business day of the parcel having been delivered will not be considered. As all bears are mailed with a tracking number, the date that the carrier marks the parcel delivered will be considered the official delivery date for this notification calculation.
*The claim cannot be considered legitimate when this was the only order in process in my workshop.
