This is Allie Bear!
Allie Bear is, like all TG Bears, a jointed handmade teddy bear. But she is a custom teddy bear designed especially as a mascot for Epilepsy Connection. She has the softest chocolate colored fur, proudly wears the Epilepsy Connection logo on her chest and the words Empowerment – Hope Faith Courage Change on her foot. And she wears a color coordinated scarf. She has safety eyes, nose and joints and is stuffed with anti-allergenic stuffing.
She is going to be given to children that have been admitted into local hospitals for seizure related procedures, recovering from surgery or having extended stays for VEEG’s in the EMU department. Allie Bear is also going out to public speaking events to help raise epilepsy awareness and funding.
Epilepsy Connection is an organization based in Orange County, CA whose mission is to empower people who have epilepsy so that they can create a better quality of life and achieve independence. In addition, the foundation focuses on creating opportunities for people with epilepsy to reach their full potential. They are able to make this possible through education, grants, partnerships and a variety of programs.
Since Epilepsy Connection works hard to provide financial grants to families for monitors, service dogs and other needs, TG Bears will donate $10 to the foundation for every Allie Bear sold.
Erin Bear is also available as a smaller Epilepsy Connection mascot.
